I have been an artist my entire life, although not always creating art. Growing up, while my older brother was reading, and my younger brother was out playing, I was tucked away in a corner with a coloring book and my crayons. I remember being in first grade and my mother came home from my school's "open house" and told me that my teacher was amazed I was able to color inside the lines when other kids in my class found the task difficult.
Fast forward to 1977... I received my BFA in drawing with a minor in commercial art from Edinboro State College. Over the course of the next 40-plus years, I had jobs as a layout artist, production manager, art director, marketing communications specialist, and a digital marketing specialist, and even a set designer/scenic artist for a local community theater group... always staying connected to the creative side of things.
In 2018, I decided it was time to get back into fine art. I knew this return could be challenging after nearly 40 years away from drawing and painting, but I am up for whatever challenges are thrown my way during this journey. I look forward to the journey and hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
